Service credits
What credits pay for, the rate card, your balance, top-ups and subscriptions, bringing your own keys, storage and email metering, project budgets, and the treasury.
Service credits are how the platform-provided services are paid for: AI model calls, broadcast email, storage beyond the free allowance, and media generation.
Your balance
/credits — the org's balance, a warning when it is low, the usage history line by line (what, which model, how many tokens, how many credits), and the rate card.
The rate card
Each service has a rate: AI models per thousand input and output tokens (larger models cost more), image / audio / video generation per item, broadcast email per recipient, storage per gigabyte-day above the free allowance. Rates shown on the page are what you are charged.
Getting credits
- New accounts receive a starter grant when the wallet is created.
- Credit packs (/credits?buy) — buy a pack through the store; credits are granted when the order is paid.
- Subscriptions — a plan can include a monthly allowance, granted each period and rolled over.
Bring your own key = free
Connect your own key for a provider in Integrations and calls to that provider are not metered at all. Credits only apply when the platform's key is used on your behalf.
Never negative
Before each call the platform checks the balance covers the worst case. Long jobs (an agent run, a creator job, a newsletter) pause in place when the balance runs out and resume when topped up. Nothing is charged that was not delivered.
Storage and email
Storage is metered nightly on what your org holds above the free allowance; uploads are blocked, never deleted, if the balance cannot cover it. Newsletter and sequence mail is metered per recipient; transactional mail is free.
