Workspaces

A workspace is a private working copy of files and content, with its own coder, that you build in and then deploy to a live site.

/workspaces — a workspace is where work happens before it goes live. It has its own files, its own copy of pages and content, and its own editor, so nothing you do there touches a live site until you deploy.

Creating one

New workspace asks for a name and, optionally, the site and project it belongs to. Pick a workspace with the selector at the top of Studio pages; the gear beside it opens its settings.

Working in it

• Coder opens the editor on the workspace's files. See Coder.
• Pages, content blocks and styles edited inside the workspace are the workspace's copies.
• A task can be linked to a workspace so the work and the files stay together; the task then shows Open in Coder.

Deploying

Deploy copies the workspace's records and files to the target site. Until you deploy, visitors see the site as it was.
