Domains and DNS

Connecting a domain you own, registering a new one, DNS records, and renewals.

/domains — every domain connected to your sites, its DNS state, its registrar and its expiry.

Connect a domain you already own

1. Add domain and enter it.
2. Point it at the platform: the page shows the exact records to set at your registrar (nameservers, or an A/AAAA record and a verification record).
3. When the records are seen, the domain is attached to the site and a certificate is issued. HTTPS is automatic.

Register a new domain

Register a domain searches availability and registers the name through the platform's registrar, then connects it to your site. Its expiry and renewal state are shown in the list like any other domain.

DNS records

Each domain has a record editor for the entries the platform does not manage — a mail provider's MX, a verification TXT for another service, a subdomain to somewhere else. The platform's own records are shown but locked.

Expiry and renewals

The domains list shows expiry dates and whether auto-renew is on. Domains held at outside registrars are checked periodically and warned about here, but renewed there.

Mail for the domain

Sending mail as you@yourdomain needs the mail service set up on the domain. See Mail services.
