Set up email on your domain, step by step
Add the mail domain, set MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, pass the health check, create mailboxes, and send a test.
1. Add the mail domain
/mailservice → Add. Choose the domain (it must be connected to a site first, see Connect a domain). DKIM keys are generated for it.
2. Set the DNS records
The mail domain's page lists them:
- MX — so mail to your domain arrives here.
- SPF (a TXT record) — says the platform may send for you.
- DKIM (a TXT record with the key shown) — signs what is sent.
- DMARC (a TXT record) — tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the two above.
If the domain's nameservers are managed here, these are set for you with one click. Otherwise add them at your registrar.
3. Pass the health check
DNS health on the page checks each record and names what is missing. Re-check after changes propagate.
4. Create mailboxes
Mailboxes → add an address and password. It appears in /email and can be read from any mail app over IMAP with the server details shown.
5. Send a test
From /email, send a message from the new mailbox to an outside address and check it arrives in the inbox, not spam. Then send one back and see it in the platform inbox.
Sending as your domain from the platform
Once healthy, newsletters, sequences, confirmations and ticket replies for that site are signed as the domain. Broadcast mail is metered in service credits; see Service credits.
Bounces
Hard bounces and complaints suppress an address automatically. See the deliverability view in Newsletters.
